YOUR ON THE DAY QUESTIONS
I realise that you must have lots of questions about your wedding stationery so I hope the below questions and answers are helpful. Just shout if there's anything else I can do to help.
I'm sure what I want on the day stationery I need, can you help?
Yes, of course. Each wedding is different, however most weddings will need:
-
Something to say where people will be sitting (or if they can sit wherever they like).
-
If your guests are sitting in specific places, you will also need place name cards, and
-
Table names or numbers, too.
-
If you are getting married in a church, you will also need an order of service, too.
There may be are many more things you may need, and because of this, I recommend booking a free stationery consultation, where I can ask you a series of questions to make sure you have the stationery needed for your wedding day
What do I include in an order of service for my church wedding?
Most vicars will tell you what you need to include in your order of service, and will simply ask you to choose if you will be having readings, and what these will be, and what hymns you like. However, the order is likely to look like this:
-
Cover: your names, the date and church name
-
Ceremony
-
Opening Prayer
-
Welcome
-
Reading
-
Hymn
-
Vows and Exchanging of Rings
-
Blessing
-
Reading
What on the day stationery can you design?
There is a huge range of stationery I can design, and this list is always expanding! However, here are the things I am normally asked to make for couples:
-
Reserved seating cards for your ceremony
-
Welcome sign
-
Order of service for a religious wedding
or -
Order of ceremony for a non-religious wedding
-
Timeline of events
-
Table plan, place names and table names
or -
Escort cards (like a table plan but allowing your guests to sit where they like on the tables)
-
Personalised napkins
-
Menus (can be individual, one per table or a large format one (A1/A2)
-
Menus for your evening food (normally placed on the table where the food is being served
-
Signage (written on wood using hand calligraphy)
-
Activity packs for children
-
Stationery for the tables at your wedding breakfast (speech betting cards, speech bingo, etc)
I can also make thank you cards to post after the wedding day.

How long should I allow for on the day stationery?
I would recommend allowing 2 months to completely design, print and deliver on the day stationery, and to allow enough time for last-minute changes. Get in touch for more info. I do get very busy so it always better to get me booked in early rather than hearing I'm fully booked!
I'm not from the UK, can I still have my stationery designed by you?
Yes, of course! I have designed stationery for couples all over the country as well as aboard. All proofs are sent by PDF. Please allow more time for stationery to be delivered.
Can I get a printed proof?
Yes, however printed proofs are on request and should be requested at the quote stage.
What different cards can I print my stationery onto?
There are hundreds of different card choices available. To narrow down the choices, I offer three options: smooth, sandy textured and textured; however, if you would like to look into other cards I would be happy to explore this with you. Contact me for further information. All large format printing (table plans, welcome signs, etc.) need to be printed onto the same paper due to the size.
What do I need to tell you for you send me a quote?
I will need to know:
-
What stationery you would like
-
How many of each you will need
-
Details about the design (bespoke, and the details of this or house design and which, or semi bespoke and the details of this)
How is the quote calculated?
For bespoke stationery, quotes are calculated on a bespoke design rate, plus the designs needed. This is then added to a printing price and any additional extras orders, such as ribbons, etc. plus the delivery quote. More info on prices here.
For budget house designs, please download my pricing guide here. These prices are current at the time of uploading. Please contact me for current prices.
